Laboratory of Thermal and Power Plants
The Thermal and Power Plant Laboratory, located in Room A107 at AUES, is designed to train specialists in the production, conversion, and efficient use of thermal energy. This practical training platform allows students to study the design and operation of equipment used at thermal power plants and industrial power facilities.
The laboratory is equipped with training setups simulating processes in boiler units, turbine units, heat exchangers, and thermal-mechanical equipment systems. Visual models and working setups allow students to study real-life technological processes in a safe learning environment.
Main areas of work:
– Study of the operating principles of thermal power plants;
– Research of combustion, heat transfer, and heat exchange processes;
– Modeling the operating modes of boilers, turbines, and auxiliary systems;
– Analysis of the efficiency of thermal circuits and power plants.
Laboratory A107 is actively used for laboratory work, project assignments, scientific research, and the preparation of qualification projects. It provides a deep understanding of thermal energy processes and develops the competencies needed by future engineers to work in modern thermal energy enterprises.
