Scientific activity Laboratories

The AUES Advanced Training Center is expanding its training and practical facilities and introducing two unique simulators that will be used in training courses for energy company employees.

410 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Simulator

This is a fully functional laboratory simulating the operation of a modern combined cycle power plant (CCPP) under conditions as close as possible to real-life operation. The gas and steam turbine sections, the waste heat boiler, the cooling systems, the fuel supply, the automation, and the protection systems are all reproduced in a single hardware and software package.

Course participants will be able to:

✔ practice operating equipment in normal and emergency modes

✔ analyze parameter changes under varying loads

✔ simulate emergency situations

✔ improve the skills of operating personnel

✔ improve industrial safety

Practice without risk to real equipment – maximum benefit for professional growth.

"Main Electrical Circuit of a 500/110/35/20/6 kV Power Plant" Simulator

A specialized training complex for simulating the operating modes of a power plant and high-voltage substation with a multi-level voltage system.

Simulator capabilities:

✔ Simulation of normal, transient, and emergency modes

✔ Practice of operational switching operations

✔ Analysis of short-circuit currents

✔ Testing the operation of relay protection and automation

✔ Developing dispatch control skills

The simulator allows real-time monitoring of changes in electrical parameters and the operating logic of protective devices under various scenarios.

The new laboratories will become a key platform for advanced training of operational and engineering personnel at power plants and grid companies.

AUES offers modern engineering education, a practice-oriented approach, and the training of specialists prepared for the challenges of the modern energy industry.
